A rugged dirt road is the only connection between rural Temua and the semi-urban town of La Concepcion.

Temua residents helping dig the trench for the potable drinking water project that benefited all four communities.

The community has access to a small elementary school similar to Palo Solo’s. And also like in Palo Solo, students continuing on to high school walk three miles each way to the town of El Crucero.

The Richard B. Gladstone community library has served many students and residents from Temua. In particular, participation in visual art and computer courses and remedial tutoring has been strong.
